A Spectacular Monday for Cam!

When I began this blog, I had planned to do posts about once a week. Well, Cam did so well yesterday that I just had to do a one day post!

At The Grace Center yesterday, we started the week studying Animals. Erika gave each one of the kids a card with a different animal pictured on it. She made sure each child knew what the other ones had. Cam was given a picture of a dog and after we talked about it, we turned it face down on the table. Hannah was given a picture of a cow and after we all talked about the cow, she turned her card face down. Erika went through each animal asking who has the pig or who has the squirrel. When she got to "Who has the dog?", Cam stood up (with me steadying him of course) and yelled! Kind of made it easy for the rest of the kids! When she asked "Who has the cow?" He turned his head quickly and looked right at Hannah! Wanting to test this (sometimes I have a hard time believing how much he does know!) I asked him again. Once again, he turned his head quickly to Hannah! He is just so amazing! Pottying also continues to go well! Yahoo!

Kid's are the best comedians!

January 25, 2009 - Conner is standing there talking to me while wearing his Star Wars Jengo Fett Costume with his Batman cape and mask. "Hey Mom! Did you know that Jengo Fett wears his Batman costume? In Star Wars episode 348 he got it out of his toybox. He has a toybox in episode 348."
October 21, 2008 - Conner was riding in the van watching Star War Return of the Jedi. They were at the scene where Luke and Darth Vader are fighting when he said, "Darth Vader has a red light saber. Red means stop! Luke has a green Light Saber, and green means go!" Trying my best not to laugh, I asked him what the blue one meant. He thought for a second and said, "It means you stop your car, get out and do a flip!"
August 2008 - Clark and I were going on a date night with some friends and we were taking Chad and Conner to stay with my Mom. Chad asked me if we were going on a date and I told him we were. He then proceeded to ask, "When did you know that you liked Daddy? Was it when you saw him on eHarmony.com?" I really felt old when I told him that we didn't have that back when I met Clark!
September 22, 2008 - Conner told me today that they saw a bug at school that prays to God! He was on the picnic table on the playground. I told him that it was called a praying mantis. I also told him there were other types of bugs like that only they were brown and looked like sticks. They were called stick bugs. He said, "No, they are called playground bugs and the are on picnic tables on playgrounds." Momma stands corrected!
Not sure exactly when this started, but Chad likes to call "shotgun" and try to ride in the front passenger seat when we ride in the van. Now, when we go out and Chad says, "I call shotgun!", Conner will say, "I call pistol!"
July 20, 2008 - Chad is showing me the commercial for the newest Mummy movie and is sooo excited! Not wanting to be left out, Conner asks if he can go see the "scary new 'Mommy' movie too?".
July 19, 2008 - Conner is so desperate to lose a tooth just like Chad (who has lost 6 in the past month!!). This morning the sausage had a lot of little hard fat pieces in it for some reason. Conner got a piece in his mouth and said "I lost a tooth!". I asked him to show me which one and he started feeling around his mouth.
July 19, 2008 - We bought a new fish today, his name is (get ready!) Rambo Fred Raphael Skittles III (aka Jaws). No one could agree! When we got him in the car, Chad noticed that there was a "W" written on the top of the container. He asked me what that was for and I explained that it actually was an "M" for male. Conner then asked "So we can 'mail' him if he dies?".
February 2008 - I had told Chad and Conner that we were going to the Book Fair at Cam's school, but we couldn't go until later in the day. Conner said, "But I want to go to the Book Fairy!"
January 2008 - Conner had dropped something behind the bed and wanted me to get it. I asked him if he could reach it and he said, "No, because it's very, very down!"
June 2008 - Abby (my neice) wanted to go swimming. We had told them that they could not swim unless an adult went with them. Abby told the other kids, "I'll go see if my Mom will be the Dult!"
